Aimed at the severe problems in tokens and computations of grey numbers, which expanded unnecessarilyand distorted the information heavily, this paper defined the standard interval grey number and thefirst and the second standard grey number, and analyzed their relationship.Furthermore, it designed the transformation rule from general grey number to the standard interval greyLast, the paper established the GM (1,1) model based on the interval grey number and got a good effect

This paper analyzes the reason that grey model GM (1,1) often makes errors in simulated data.GM (1,1) about the simulation, it can be concluded that the structure method of background value in greymodel GM (1,1) has an important influence on the prediction and adaptability of the model.The optimum background value makes grey model GM (1,1) have better fitting and forecasting precision.

In this paper, an axiomatic system for the definition of degree of greyness of grey number is builtbased on discussion with two definitions of degree of greyness of grey number which have been put forwardTaking axioms as the criterion for definition of degree of grayness of grey number, a new formula fordefinition of degree of grayness of grey number has been formed with measure of the right range of greynumber and the background or field which is brought about by the grey number.
